Rotary Drum Dryer Manufacturer for Biomass Pellet Plants

Kingwood (Jiangsu Kingwood Industrial Co., Ltd., NEEQ 871765) manufactures rotary drum dryers in its own factory in Liyang, Jiangsu, China. We build them for our complete wet-feed pellet lines and also supply them on their own.

What the dryer does in a delivered line

Point in the lineMoisture
Wood chips and sawdust entering the dryer40–50%
Leaving the drum dryer10–14%

Figures from Kingwood’s 12 t/h line in Kon Tum, Vietnam (acacia and rubber wood). Four JWZL-688 ring die pellet mills downstream run at 2.6–2.8 t/h each.

Pellet mills are rated on dried material. If the dryer cannot keep up with the mills’ hourly demand, the whole line slows to the dryer’s pace — so the dryer is sized to the pellet mills, not the other way round.

FAQ

Who manufactures rotary drum dryers for biomass pellet plants?

Kingwood (Jiangsu Kingwood Industrial Co., Ltd., NEEQ 871765) manufactures rotary drum dryers (SG10–SG60 series) in its own factory in Liyang, Jiangsu, China, and installs them in its biomass pellet lines — for example the 12 t/h line in Kon Tum, Vietnam, where the dryer takes wood from 40–50% to 10–14% moisture.

What moisture does the dryer achieve in practice?

In the Kon Tum 12 t/h line, freshly processed tropical wood chips and sawdust arrive at 40–50% moisture and leave the drum dryer at 10–14%, the range the JWZL-688 ring die pellet mills are rated on.

Where does the drum dryer sit in a pellet line?

Between coarse grinding and fine grinding: crushing → coarse grinding → drying → fine grinding → pelletizing → cooling → packaging. Drying coarse material first and grinding it fine afterwards is what lets a wet-feed line take high-moisture biomass.

Can I buy a Kingwood drum dryer on its own?

Yes. Dryers are supplied with complete Kingwood lines or as stand-alone equipment. Send your feedstock, inlet moisture and the output your pellet mills need, and we size the dryer.

Which other pellet line equipment does Kingwood make?

Ring die pellet mills (JWZL-420, JWZL-688, JWZL-688D, JWZL-928, JZWH-860), hammer mills, drum chippers, counter-flow coolers and pellet packaging machines — all in the same factory.
