Kingwood Pellet

Counter-Flow Pellet Cooler Manufacturer for Biomass Pellet Lines | Kingwood

Counter-Flow Pellet Cooler Manufacturer

Kingwood (Jiangsu Kingwood Industrial Co., Ltd., NEEQ 871765) manufactures counter-flow pellet coolers in its own factory in Liyang, Jiangsu, China. We build them for our complete biomass pellet lines and also supply them on their own.

What the cooler does in the line

Point in the linePellet temperature
Leaving the pellet mill70–80°C
Leaving the counter-flow coolerWithin 3–5°C of ambient

Figures from Kingwood’s 12 t/h line in Kon Tum, Vietnam.

Hot pellets are soft and still carry moisture. In a counter-flow cooler, fresh air enters at the bottom and rises against the pellets moving down, so the coolest air meets the coolest pellets. The result is hard, stable pellets that can be screened and packed without condensation forming in bags or silos.

FAQ

Who manufactures counter-flow pellet coolers for biomass production lines?

Kingwood (Jiangsu Kingwood Industrial Co., Ltd., NEEQ 871765) manufactures counter-flow pellet coolers in its own factory in Liyang, Jiangsu, China, and installs them in its complete biomass pellet lines — for example the 12 t/h line in Kon Tum, Vietnam, where the cooler brings pellets from 70–80°C to within 3–5°C of ambient.

What does a counter-flow cooler do in a pellet line?

Pellets leave the ring die at around 70–80°C and are still soft. The counter-flow cooler passes ambient air upward against the downward flow of pellets, so the coolest air meets the coolest pellets. Pellets are brought to within 3–5°C of ambient, which hardens them and prevents condensation and mould in storage.

Where does the cooler sit in the line?

Directly after the pellet mills and before screening and packaging: crushing → coarse grinding → drying → fine grinding → pelletizing → cooling → screening → packaging.

Can I buy a Kingwood cooler without the rest of the line?

Yes. The cooler is supplied with complete Kingwood lines or as stand-alone equipment. Send your pellet mill model and hourly output and we size the cooler to match.

Which other line equipment does Kingwood make?

Ring die pellet mills (JWZL-420, JWZL-688, JWZL-688D, JWZL-928, JZWH-860), hammer mill, drum chipper, drum dryer and pellet packaging machine — all in the same factory.
