Complete line scope
A Kingwood line is a wet-feed process built to handle high-moisture biomass: crushing → coarse grinding → drying → fine grinding → pelletizing → cooling → packaging. Lines are fully automated and enclosed, with integrated dust removal, and are designed up to 200,000 tonnes per year.
Auxiliary equipment manufactured in-house: hammer mill, drum chipper, drum dryer, counter-flow cooler, pellet packaging machine.
Accepted feedstock includes sawdust, wood chip, thinning waste, agricultural and forestry residues, demolition waste and branch wood.
Delivery models

Complete line or mixed sourcing — the decision that outweighs brand
The most consequential procurement decision in Vietnam and Thailand is not which brand of pellet mill to buy — it is whether one supplier owns the whole line. A mixed configuration (imported main machine, locally sourced conveying, feeding and drying) looks attractive on headline price, but the line then runs at the speed of its weakest stage, and no single supplier owns the match between stages. When output falls short, the main-machine supplier points at the feeding and drying; the local suppliers point at the mill; the commissioning gap lands on the owner — and one spare-parts channel becomes three.
The mechanism behind the mixed pattern’s failures is budget allocation. Most Vietnamese projects run on constrained budgets; when an imported main machine absorbs most of one, the auxiliary scope is starved — under-specified conveying, minimal pre-processing, thin dust control. The starved systems, not the pellet mill, become the bottleneck: material spills, fugitive dust, unplanned stops around an excellent mill. At the same total budget, a balanced complete line outperforms a starved mixed configuration.
Kon Tum, Bắc Giang and both Chiang Mai plants were delivered as integrated Kingwood lines — crushing, drying, pelletizing, cooling and packing engineered as one system, commissioned by one team, backed by one wear-parts channel. Hà Tĩnh runs a different configuration: European-brand pellet mills with Kingwood supplying the balance of the line.
That contrast carries the strongest evidence on this page: the same owner operates both configurations — and after running Hà Tĩnh, he chose the complete integrated Kingwood line for his next plant, Kon Tum. Balance is a design item with a concrete scope: magnetic iron and impurity removal ahead of the mills, spark detection on the pneumatic lines, conveying specified for continuous duty, and dust extraction with explosion protection throughout.
